ADVANTAGES OF A LOCAL CHURCH OR CONFERENCE INSTITUTION USING THE SERVICES OF THE NASHVILLE AREA UNITED METHODIST FOUNDATION: 

  • Using the Foundation frees the church or institution to devote energy to matters related to ministry and promotion of planned gifts.  

  • The Foundation assumes responsibility for the administration and investment of your funds.

  • The church or institution may have several accounts: such as:
    • Mission Fund - for missions in and/or beyond the local church and community
    • Building Fund - for maintenance, care, improvements, and construction of physical facilities 
    • General Endowment Fund - for special ministries and needs determined by the leadership of the church or institution.
  • Individuals may establish a trust with a local church, ministries, or church-related institutions named as the final beneficiary.

  • The Foundation may be named as trustee for funds left by bequest for the benefit of the church or institution.

  • The Foundation has Director's Liability Insurance through General Insurance Underwriters, Inc.

  • The President and the Treasurer of the Foundation are bonded through General Insurance Underwriters, Inc.

  • The Foundation had assets of over $23,858,228 as of August 12, 2010.  

  • Deposits and withdrawals may be made at any time.
